Description
Artist Audio Transformer with vintage Western Electric solder & W.E solid core wires mods. This is an audio coupling device with 2.4K ohms:600 ohms about 0.8 times of voltage ratio. Excellent for iPhone/Android /Opamp output to your favorite headamp/preamp/amplifier. It consists of two vintage Siemens B154 audio coupling transformers (Made in Germany). All soldering points had been upgraded to W.E (NASSAU) Alloy 45/55 Rosin 3-6% solder. Internal wirings had also been upgraded to Western Electric solid copper wirings from 60's & also early 1930's. Similar to Western Electric 111C coil sound but with better extensions + wider soundstage in most cases. Item works great without any issue. Recently. a pair of 70’s-80’s 24AWG pure sliver/Teflon wires had been added between transformer’s outputs to RCA jacks. It further opened up the sound without upsetting the balance (Not shown at the pictures). Cosmetic about 7/10 due to age. A vintage ebony wood had been added as chassis vibration control. See pictures for details. Basically, coupling transformers can last for decades ——— “One-time payment, lifetime enjoyments.” Due to the nature of vintage parts, this item is sold as-as. (No return). Terms (Please read these) Important Information for Buyers of Vintage Audio Equipment I primarily sell vintage audio equipment, and because these items are often several decades old, they may not meet the specifications they had when new. I make every effort to test and ensure functionality before shipping, but I cannot guarantee that they will perform to their original standards. In cases where I'm unable to test an item, please assume it may not be working unless stated otherwise. Occasionally, I might miss something during testing. If any issues arise, please contact me directly before opening a case or taking other actions. I’m committed to resolving any problems efficiently. Selling on eBay is a natural extension of my passion for collecting vintage electronics. My goal is to find new homes for these pieces, not to misrepresent or sell faulty items unless clearly noted. This isn’t my full-time job, so I’m not here to make a quick profit. When it comes to cosmetic condition, I’ll do my best to highlight any significant damage. However, given the age of these items, expect minor wear such as scratches or nicks unless explicitly stated otherwise. Please note that all sales are final. Shipping and Handling I take shipping seriously and package items with great care, using multiple layers of protection to ensure they arrive safely. With over five years of experience working in a warehouse, I know what it takes to get an item to you securely. As a result, my shipping costs may appear higher than what you’re used to, but keep in mind that I often absorb part of the cost, especially when considering packaging materials. I strive to ship items as quickly as possible, but due to the careful handling required for vintage electronics, it may sometimes take a bit longer. Please refer to the stated handling time for an estimate of when your item will be shipped. I prioritize safety over speed, and sourcing appropriate packing materials may also contribute to a slight delay. I may not ship as quickly as large retailers like Amazon, but I promise to pack with more care. During peak shopping seasons, shipping carriers may experience delays, which are beyond my control. Feedback If for any reason you feel that I don’t deserve a 5-star rating in every category, please reach out to me before leaving feedback. I’m happy to work with you to address any concerns.
